When asked as to what would be his priorities as Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has fulfilled the demand to appoint an independent Home Minister, he said, "We will soon make a policy in consultation with Itanagar MLA, DGP, home commissioner, councillors and civil societies, particularly committees of the traders, colonies and NGOs, to stop crime."
