$500 mn worth deals and a record 23,500 visitors at Indiawood 2010

Indiawood 2010 the most comprehensive trade fair for the woodworking industry concluded today on a very promising note. PDA Trade Fairs and Eumabois(European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers)jointly organized this biennial event. Indiawood 2010 the 6th edition commenced on 4th March and culminated today 08th March.The primary objective of Indiawood was to showcase the latest in wood processing technologies, sophisticated machines, accessories, tools, products and woodworking fittings & consumables from all over the world. A seminar on wood & bamboo in architecture was also held during the course of the event, which threw light on best practices in Forest Management and utilizing Bamboo in construction and for deriving energy from bamboo waste.The event was a sourcing ground for the entire woodworking community from India, South Asia, South-East Asia and the Gulf region.

Indiawood 2010 had over 450 exhibitors from 24 countries, with country pavilions from Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Canada and USA to name a few, with the largest representation was from Europe. Some of the global leaders in manufacturing of woodworking machinery, processing, hardware solutions & furniture fittings makers participated in Indiawood 2010.
