11th Waltham leading Veterinary Workshop organised in Mumbai

Pedigree, the leading pet food brand of Mars International India in cooperation with Waltham Pet Center, the world’s leading authority on pet care and nutrition, organised the 11th Waltham leading Veterinary workshop focusing on clinical radiology in Mumbai. The two day mega event held in the city aimed to update small animal veterinarians across India on new findings in the field of veterinary radiology.

The workshop organised under Mars India initiative of Mars Continuing Veterinary Professional Development (MCVPD) was led by Dr Michael Bailey, B.S. D.V.M. Diplomat, American College of Veterinary Radiology, Medical Specialist; Lead Radiologist, Banfield Pet Hospital, USA. Day one of the workshop included lectures on techniques and best practice for taking a good radiograph, and other imaging techniques including MRI. Day two included lectures and hands-on training on interpretations of radiographs and other imaging techniques.

Chairing the two day long workshop, Dr. Michael Bailey, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Radiology, Medical Specialist; Lead Radiologist, Banfield Pet Hospital, USA said, “This yet another edition of MCVPD for small animal veterinarians is to assist them with professional developments. The session is not merely based on theories; but is based on the live examples from our practice. Our aim here is to discuss the latest techniques in Radiology/imaging and problems faced by veterinarians’ in the field. We have come together to find out solutions to the problems that we or any of us has ever faced in this field.”

In line with its vision, MCVPD for the past 9 years has been providing small animal veterinarians the best experience possible in India by offering premium educational programs, expert clinical education, hands-on labs and workshops. MCVPD also supports symposia, congress and annual technical meetings for the practicing vets in India. The MCVPD workshops provide the vets right kind of exposure they need to keep their clinical skills and knowhow up-to-date.
