AIMC organises Lecture on 'Managing the Crisis Metro Way'

Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), one of the leading institute in Mass Communication organised inaugural Lecture on “Managing the Crisis Metro Way” where students of AIMC got an insight into Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Public Relations secrets and success mantra. Apeejay Dwarka, which caters to Mass communication and Management aspirants, was celebrating its 8th inaugural session.

The face and icon of India’s one of the most successful public sector firm DMRC, where Mr. Anuj Dayal, Chief Public Relations Officer DMRC, was recently invited at Apeejay Dwarka campus for an inaugural lecture.

Mr. Anuj Dayal gave the lecture on general PR Tips and Crisis Management. He shared his experiences, learning’s and suggestions with more than 400 aspiring media and management professionals. Mr. Dayal’s lecture focussed on the journey of Delhi Metro from 2008-2009 where DMRC faced lot of challenges initially and key towards the success of this brand.

On the occasion Prof. Ashok Ogra Director AIMC said, “We welcomed the thoughts of Mr Anuj and the knowledge that Apeejay impart for its students is the foundation for their multifaceted careers in future. We always try and deliver the best to our students on an ongoing basis so that they can enlighten their knowledge and achieve success in all given situations. ”

The lecture was comprised of tips and tricks for PR practitioners, media handling tools and value of ethics in the smart game of publicity and promotion which provided the students an insight of the professional world and neck to neck competition and media rivalries.

The lecture highlighted the role of Public Relations which has made Delhi Metro a big brand with good ethics.

The official spokesperson of DMRC shared his experience in this day to day life on job and the key to overcome any given situations. He also addressed the student queries related to the topic and provided this insight. Mr. Dayal also introduced Apeejay students to the noble concept of Metro Volunteers, where they can volunteer to make Metro ride safer and convenient for daily commuters and tourists likewise.
