Amira Foods India Limited , the largest privately held rice exporter from India, has brought the spirit of nawabi cuisines alive in the ongoing Rampuri Food Festival in DLF Club, Gurgaon. Starting from today the food festival will continue till 12th Dec 2010. This festival is a unique opportunity for everybody to choose from a wide variety of delicious dishes and sever the authentic taste of Rampuri cuisine.

The essence of the entire event is conceptualised to give every visitor a wholesome Rampuri experience: be it the décor of the place or the rare ingredients that have gone inside for the preparation of the dishes. The visitors in the festival will also have the opportunity to take part in a lucky draw. The winners will be announced on the last day of the festival on 12th December, Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion Ms Saloni Rampal, General Manager – Marketing & Communication, “At Amira, our endeavour is to bring alive the heritage cuisines. The idea of this festival is to rejoice the food era of Nawabs in Royal style. People living in cities do not have the opportunity to taste the Rampuri nawabi cuisine often, however, the craving, especially during winter always lingers on. The charm of the nawabi cuisine is still intact and this festival is a unique authentic experience for every visitor”

The rich spicy taste of delicious Rampuri dishes at times leave behind The Awadhi, Kashmiri, Mughlai or Hyderabadi dishes. It’s true that the name of The Royal Cuisine Of Rampur is not as famous as the name of Awadhi, Kashmiri, Mughlai or Hyderabadi dishes, but the rich aroma, spicy tongue twister of Rampuri dishes will compel to forget all other. Speaking on the occasion Chef Devashish Dicosta, Executive Chef of the club said, “Food Festival is authentic only if the treatment of the entire event is authentic right from choosing the entire preparation, theme and look of the venue. The menu is designed for 3 days on variety of Rampur Nawab’s favourite dishes which showcases a cuisine that is a mélange of the Kashmiri, Oudhi and Hyderabadi traditions”
