Apeejay Stya University, built up on a 32 acre campus, is a new non-profit philanthropic endeavor of the Apeejay Stya Group that blends the best features of a research based university with that of the liberal arts philosophy. With an ambition to create a unique university imbibing the best of features from across the world, brining a revolution in Indian Higher Education, Apeejay Stya University announced an International two-year teaching fellowship in 11 different subjects. This two-year fellowship is offered to graduates and post-graduates of international universities who wish to come to India to teach and do research. ASU offers rich opportunities for an innovative teaching-learning experience as well as support for research across disciplines.

This fellowship program provides an opportunity to the fellows worldwide to gain experience in teaching in a global and creative environment within an extremely innovative university system. ASU is committed to provide a unique academic system, with innovative features such as admissions directly into the university and then the option to choose a department and later, the freedom to learn at an individual pace, and to take any class the university has to offer regardless of their field and level. The fellows would be provided discretion on pedagogy, evaluation and adapting the in class syllabus according to their own teaching style. Apart from that they would also be provided access to the student body for research assistants along with a full support on any external grant applications. The shortlisted subjects for teaching during the fellowship program are: Philosophy, English, History, Psychology, Religion, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Design, Bio Sciences, Management, Mass Communication and interdisciplinary areas involving the above mentioned subjects.

On the occasion Mr. Aditya Berlia, Pro- chancellor & Co-Founder, Apeejay Stya University, said, “Apeejay Stya University is a platform of knowledge sharing where people from all around the world can come together and contribute. The university will ensure that the fellows who are travelling down to the country will be immersed in the Indian experience. They shall be provided with on-campus or near campus accommodation, along with meals at the campus dining area and a teaching stipend that would be approximate to around a 1000 USD per month.

The applicants for the fellowship program should hold at least a Master’s degree in their fields and preference will be given to the holders of PhDs and those with prior teaching experience. The applicants can send their applications & queries to getinvolved@apeejay.edu
