Starcom MediaVest Group today announced creation of a new position of General Manager-Marketing. Ashish Limaye, who was till recently the Deputy General Manager of the Group’s out-of-home specialist brand Navia has been named to this position.
Said Ravi Kiran, CEO-South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group, “The needs of marketers are evolving constantly and they are actively looking for innovative solutions that will help them achieve their near term and long term objectives in the most productive manner and specifically optimise marketing resources in these challenging times. In this new, forward-looking role, Ashish will help us identify marketers’ needs and support our leadership across four full service offices and six specialist solutions units, in activating our business and growth strategies.

The role is intended to bring transformational discipline to Starcom MediaVest Group’s efforts to add an aggressive dimension to its growth strategy in India, one of its key emerging markets.
Mr Limaye will continue to be based in Mumbai and will report to SMG South Asia CEO Ravi Kiran.
