Ashok Leyland launches "FunBus"

Offers free ride to handicapped and underprivileged children

Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland has launched FunBus in Delhi, exclusively for free use round-the-year by children of orphanages,Corporation Primary schools and other underprivileged  groups. It replicates a successful initiative launched by the Company in Chennai a couple of years back. 

The concept of the FunBus developed at interactions with the user groups who visit orphanages and other children's institutions and conduct entertainment programmes for them. While such visits give some cheer to the children, they still remain confined to their four walls.   What stops them from being taken out is suitable transport facility. 

"By providing a tailor-made facility in the form of FunBus, we are able to add value to the good work being done by these organizations, in the process, giving these children a day to remember.   FunBus is a gift from Ashok Leyland, to underprivileged children of Delhi", said Mr. Mahesh Gautam,

The seating layout reckons the requirements of physically challenged children.The bus is equipped with a hydraulic lift for the convenience of wheelchair-bound children and sports cheerful exteriorgraphics.
