This Diwali, “Aviva Great Wall of Education”, a book donation drive powered by Vodafone, will give everyone a chance to make a difference to the lives of the underprivileged children by moving them closer to Education. As part of Aviva’s Street to School program, the books from the wall will be used to educate thousands of underprivileged children supported by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (Mumbai, Kolkata), SOS Children’s Villages of India and Save the Children India across the country.

This year, the annual book donation drive is going national with Vodafone as the telecom partner. To donate, Vodafone users will simply have to send an SMS (chargeable at Rs 10), and a book will be donated on their behalf to the Aviva Great Wall of Education. Citizens will also have the option to donate online by logging on to www.educationisinsurance.com or www.prathambooks.org. Pratham Books is the bookstore partner for the initiative this year.

The Aviva Great Wall of Education, now in its third year, is another significant step by Aviva Life Insurance towards building a bright future for the underprivileged children and helping them into education. Over the last two years, the initiative, a part of Aviva’ Street to School program, has made an impact in the lives of over 500,000 underprivileged children across the country.
