Billionsmiles Hospitality Pvt Ltd. (BHPL), a leading South Indian cuisine hospitality venture has launched their new QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) brand at Mantri Square Bangalore. With the award winning brands of South Indies, a casual dining South Indian vegetarian and BonSouth, the high end South Indian non vegetarian restaurants already under their belt, the addition of Dakshinadhin completes the bouquet of offerings from BHPL. With this, BHPL can claim to be one of the few players in the country if not the only one, to cover the entire spectrum of South Indian cuisine in different formats.
As Vijay Abhimanyu, the Managing Director of BHPL says, "South Indian cuisine is recognized as the only popular Indian cuisine suitable for all day dining - from breakfast, through lunch and evening snacks to dinner, thus making it possible to build a potential McDonalds of India". Dakshinadhin will soon be launched all over India in an own cum Franchise model of expansion. The first city considered for growth outside Bangalore is Pune, where the company is planning six outlets of Dakshinadhin and one outlet of South Indies during the next few quarters. Having proved all the three brands in Bangalore, BHPL is now ready to reach all the Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities of the country. In the next 3 years BHPL targets to cover multiple cities across the country with a vision to create a 250-300 outlet chain in the next few years.
Situated in the food court of Mantri Mall, Dakshinadhin is a well-branded outlet that stands out. Priced reasonably for the QSR format, at Rs 75 per person, it has been accepted very well by customers and is proving to be a big hit. What is in offer at Dakshinadhin is delightful South Indian fare. In addition to the traditional Dosa, Puri, Idly, Vada, and the Thali lunch, Dakshinadin also serves some not-so-common interesting combos like Kal Dosa and Mirapakaya Pattani Curry, an Andhra Speciality, Kal Appam and Stew a Kerala speciality and many more. Unlike other South Indian QSR restaurants like the typical Darshinis, Dakshinadin focuses only on South Indian food, so you will not find the ubiquitous Gobi Manchurian or Noodles.
Founded by the Billionways group, BHPL is spearheaded by Vijay Abhimanyu who started the company when he was just 18. At the helm as the CEO and Master Chef, is Venkatesh Bhat, the well known South Indian chef who was with the Taj and Leela groups earlier.
BHPL believes that the food business, which has been quite disorganized till recently, is coming of age and has to be run like any other new economy business. BHPL expects to fund this venture well and grow rapidly in the near future. With the focus on professionally managed and well branded South Indian cuisine, BHPL is poised to become the market leader in this space. The growing clientele of all the BHPL brands and the number of prestigious awards that they have won bears testimony to this.
