Cisco Systems® announced today that Mr. Rangu Salgame will leave his position of President - Cisco Systems, India & SAARC. Mr. David Caspari, Cisco's Vice President of Service Provider Operations, Asia Pacific, after a transition process, will become the acting President of Cisco India, while a search for a permanent replacement for Mr. Salgame is conducted. Mr. Caspari will continue to report to Mr. Owen Chan, Cisco's President of Asia Pacific Operations.

"Rangu Salgame has been instrumental in the significant growth and development of our business in India. Over the last three years, he has built a strong, customer-focused leadership team. I would like to thank Rangu for his substantial contributions - and wish him the best as he moves to the next phase of his career," said Mr. Chan.

Under Mr. Salgame's leadership, Cisco has experienced unprecedented growth and gains in market share in India. Prior to joining Cisco to lead the company's India operations, Mr.Salgame spent four years advising and managing venture capital backed companies. He was the President & CEO of Edgix, an Internet infrastructure company, with operations across North America, Latin America and Europe. Prior to Edgix he was a senior executive with Verizon Communications.
