Disney Junior, the learning-focused block for kids aged 2-7 on Disney Channel presents a brand new animated short-form series"MINNIE’S BOW-TOONS" starring the quintessential ‘Bow sporting Fashionista’ --- Minnie Mouse. Based on a popular episode of Disney Junior's hit Emmy-nominated series "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", these shorts will play out multiple times daily beginning this week only on Disney Junior.
In the stylish new series of shorts, Minnie Mouse, the leading lady of Disney Junior together with good friend Daisy Duck, will show her passion for fashion by running up their very own Bow-Tique, a specialty shop which stocks only colorful bows and bow-ties. No matter what the occasion, Minnie has a bow (or bow-tie) for every situation, whether it's using a rubber bow to fix some leaky pipes or shredded bows to make pom-poms for a cheerleader.
Vijay Subramaniam, Business Head, Walt Disney Television International India, says, “Disney Junior is every young kid’s and their parent’s favorite entertainment destination. With this launch, we look forward to further build Minnie's timeless appeal that has entertained generations of kids and parents around the world”.
Ever since Minnie first made her appearance alongside her leading man, Mickey, in the classic animated short Steamboat Willie in 1928, she has inspired girls of various ages with her love of fashion. Known for her signature polka dot mini dress, black stockings, over-sized yellow pumps and hair bows, Minnie demonstrates the fashion flair that has inspired countless style icons and celebrities.
“Highlighting the themes of friendship and fashion, Minnie’s Bow-toons will engage our little fashionistas and encourage good values such as cooperation with each other, helping and sharing,” added Vijay.
One of the most beloved characters in the world, Minnie Mouse was first introduced to the public alongside her leading man, Mickey Mouse, in the 1928 classic animated short Steamboat Willie.
