Datanet India, one of India’s most comprehensive e-resources on socio economic data, today launched a web portal (www.hindibelt.com). The portal provides comprehensive socio-economic statistics about Hindi-speaking states and union territories. These include Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and union territory of Chandigarh.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Project Director Dr. R.K. This region has a massive impact on Indian economy, demography, polity and social economy, and plays an important role in shaping modern India. Hindi belt of India, in fact, is the heartland of India.”

He further added “www.hindibelt.com would be an ideal platform to access comprehensive statistical information culled from authentic secondary sources. The first-of-its-kind database will also provide comparative statistics of the Hindi belt with other regions of the country.”

Besides www.hindibelt.com, Datanet India has launched five web portals for other regions of the country--northern, i.e. southern, western, eastern and northeastern. With the launch of these regional websites, Datanet India is serving the research fraternity with over 60 websites.
