Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the Institute of Management Technology’s (IMT) 225,000 sqft campus in Dubai International Academic City on 10th May 2009. One of India’s tops ranking business school is looking to attract graduates and working professionals to the UAE through their MBA programmes. H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE And H.E. Kamal Nath, Minister of Commerce and Industry, India, Bakul Nath Vice President – IMT, Dr Farhad Rad-Serecht, Director IMT Dubai, Dr. Anwar Ali, Director, Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and Dr. A.M. Sherry, Chairman Joint Admission Committee were also present on this occasion.
“It is the knowledge-based economic growth that will be the key driver in the 21st century. UAE is going to become a very important business hub with such intellectual partnerships,” said Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Kamal Nath, at the opening of IMT’s Dubai campus that is building additional infrastructure to accommodate around 600 students.
“The economic downturn is a result of the failure of the way business schools have been training their leaders. The time is right for those operating in this part of the world to innovate and revamp the programmes with more emphasis on basic values of social responsiveness, community work and a pursuit of collective welfare rather than short-term profits,” said Director IMT Dubai, Dr Farhad Rad-Serecht. He said, “This New campus is equipped with world-class infrastructure and facilities. U.A.E Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research has already accredited IMT Dubai MBA program. IMT Dubai also achieved a landmark when the institute becomes the first Indian Management Institute who granted licensed by the U.A.E Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of offer higher education in U.A.E. IMT Dubai’s MBA program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in management knowledge and disciplines, opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom, while developing skills and aptitude required to operate in complex and continuously changing business environment and encouraging students personal growth within the context of their career choice.”
