In a major development in the rapidly growing education sector, Tata Steel director and veteran industry captain Dr J J Irani (full name) has joined the Board of Directors of Everonn Education Limited as the non-executive Chairman.
Announcing the development, Mr P. Kishore, founder and MD of Everonn Education said: “We are privileged and extremely thrilled to have -Dr Irani on our Board. It is heartening to note that all of us share the same vision that education will play a major role in shaping the country into an economic super power.”

Dr.Irani is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee to the cabinet (SAC-C) Government of India, the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE). Besides Tata Steel, Dr.Irani is a Director on the Boards of several corporates including Tata Sons Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., BOC (India) Ltd., Electrosteel Castings Ltd., Repro India Ltd. He is Chairman of Tata Refractories Ltd., TRF Ltd. and Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd.
In 1997, Queen Elizabeth II conferred on him an honorary Knighthood (KBE), for his contributions to Indo-British Trade and Co-operation.
In 2007, he was honoured by the President of India who conferred on him the award of “Padma Bhushan” for his services to Trade and Industry in the country.
