F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that it was named the Application Delivery Controller (ADC) Vendor of the Year at the 2011 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards. The Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards recognize outstanding performance and leadership by companies within the Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.
F5 was recognized for its ability to provide innovative and compelling solutions for enterprise and service providers to build flexible and agile application delivery infrastructures that support evolving business needs. The award also recognizes F5 for helping its customers ensure secure, reliable, and fast delivery of applications that ensure the best end-user experience.
The judging panel was particularly impressed by F5’s performance in the Application Delivery Controller (ADC) segment, which included significant revenue growth, growth in market share, leadership in product innovation, breadth of products and solutions, major customer wins, as well as business and market strategy, amongst other category-specific criteria.
“F5 continues to capture excellent mindshare in the ADC space, particularly with regards to its ability to offer an extensive range of application-centric capabilities on top of the traditional server load balancing platform,” said Nitin Bhat, Partner and SVP at Frost & Sullivan. “F5’s vision of offering an all-encompassing approach in the ADC arena covering the three components of availability, acceleration, and security was a powerful message which resonated well with APAC enterprises.”
“It is a great honor to receive the ADC Vendor of the Year award,” said Anil Pochiraju, Managing Director at F5 Networks India. “Our increasing relevance in the market is due to our ability to add value to our customers as they navigate the move to cloud computing, tackle new security challenges and meet increasing mobility demands.”
