Fashion academy organises Retail Talent Development Series

Pearl Academy of Fashion lends weight to Retail Talent Development Series

Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF), Chennai, in collaboration with the Retailers Association of India, is organising the ‘Retail Talent Development Series’ across different cities in South of India.

The first such seminar is at DG Vaishnav College for men in Chennai on March 4, 2011. As the Knowledge Partner for the Summit, PAF Chennai will share its expertise and resources with graduate students seeking careers in the highly competitive and rapidly evolving Retail Management Industry.

The Seminar aims to provide undergraduate students with relevant information about careers and opportunities in the Retail, Marketing, Design, Fashion and apparel industries. It also serves as a platform for them to network and showcase their talent and aptitude. Pearl Academy of Fashion Chennai and Retailers Association of India have partnered together with the objective of increasing the talent base available for Retail industry.

According to Director, PAF Chennai, S Ramalingam: “This is a pioneering effort from Pearl Academy of Fashion Chennai as we recognize that the future growth of retail industry in India depends on the quality of manpower available at both front and back end operations. This initiative will surely help to bridge the existing gap in the skill sets and competency levels by inspiring more talented youngsters to take up retail as their career."

The highly experienced and qualified panel of speakers from the Industry will share their thoughts and views on following topics:

* Challenges in Fashion and branded retailing
