FUJIFILM India Pvt. Ltd., the wholly-owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, Japan, one of the world’s largest photographic solutions company, announced that their path breaking technological innovation, the Super CCD EXR sensor has been bestowed the ‘Digital Imaging Innovation of the Year 2009-2010’ award by judges appointed by the esteemed European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), the largest multimedia editorial organization in Europe.
EISA is a unique association of 50 special interest magazines from 19 European countries better known for EISA Awards internationally. FUJIFILM’s path breaking Super CCD EXR sensor and FinePix F200EXR, the camera that debuts this technology, have both received outstanding critical acclaim in Europe. FUJIFILM India has recently launched this camera model in the domestic market. It is the world's first production point-and-shoot digital camera to feature FUJIFILM’s new Super CCD EXR sensor. Buoyed by the initial market acceptance, FUJIFILM plans to design and launch more digital cameras powered by Super CCD EXR sensor in the Indian market in the immediate future.
Mr. Kenichi Tanaka, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, said, “FUJIFILM has been working incessantly towards creating the ultimate CCD sensor. Our Super CCD EXR sensor technology is closest to capturing moments as naturally as the human eye sees them. It is time for us to educate customers in India about such technological superiority and advancements such that they make informed decisions while buying a digital camera. This coupled with our value proposition and service network makes us a brand formidable enough to consider.”
Mr. A. Rajkumar, Country General Manager (DSC), FUJIFILM India, added, “Using the human eye as the basis for the perfect camera sensor, FUJIFILM has yet again extended technological boundaries, creating a Super CCD capable of registering excellent levels of detail in all images clicked by the camera. We are confident that both professional and amateur photographers will appreciate the superiority of this technology compared to other offerings in this category.”
The new Super CCD EXR sensor in FUJIFILM’s FinePix digital cameras can create an unprecedented level of image quality while addressing basic challenges common to most compact cameras - limited dynamic range, high noise, and poor color reproduction at high ISOs. This innovative SUPER CCD EXR takes you as close to the human eye as one can imagine. The award-winning switchable Super CCD EXR sensor delivers optimal results for high resolution, high contrast, and low-light photography. The Super CCD EXR provides superior picture quality, enabling a “3-in-1” sensor combination of Fine Capture Technology (High Resolution), Pixel Fusion Technology (High Sensitivity & Low Noise), and Dual Capture Technology (Wide Dynamic Range). With an innovative color filter array and image processing technology, the EXR ensures an advanced reproduction in imaging with exceptionally balanced quality.
