Sage India today announced that Greytrix has successfully implemented Sage Accpac ERP to automate and improve upon the processes of Financial Accounting, Operations, Material Management and Inventory Management for Alila Diwa Goa, a 5 star hotel - part of the Alila Group of hotels. Greytrix has also provided an integration bridge between Sage Accpac ERP and Fidelio Opera property management software. The hotel is using modules of General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Systems Manager, Inventory Control, TDS and Purchase Order.
Alila Group of Hotels being globally recognized chain of hotels utilizing the best of the breed software solutions in its properties worldwide evaluated a number of local financial accounting and PMS systems claiming to be “exclusive” for Indian Hotel industry before selecting Sage Accpac ERP to be implemented by Greytrix considering their expertise in Hotels and Hospitality Software Business. Sage Accpac was system of choice for Alila Diwa Goa because of its ease of use, exhaustive financial reporting options and open architecture towards integration with different systems.
After implementation by Greytrix, Sage Accpac ERP has helped Alila streamline process of material procurement, allocation and consumption. The inventory module helps the back office team to keep a tab on stock availability and ensures apt quantity is maintained to prevent shortages or over stocking. Sage Accpac ERP maintains a record of what has been billed by the front desk in the case of individual corporate customers and ensure that it is included in the invoice generated for that period for the respective corporate clients, the system also maintain the credit limit of clients and sends payment collection reminders. Due to integration with the Fidelio Opera property management software, it automatically imports information on outstanding invoices from the city ledger as well as cash and credit information in the revenues file. It also helps to keep track of cash and credit payments at the front office and tally it with reported revenues from each department.
The system helps the hotel to keep track of its many vendors and the volume and frequency of orders placed with each one of them so that discounts and schemes can be availed of, if eligible. This information could also help the hotel to make strategic purchase decisions. Also multiple reports relating to accounting, room occupancy, revenue generated, P/L Account and Balance Sheets is generated from the system. According to OP Gupta, Financial Controller of Alila and a veteran in Indian Hotel Industry who has used a number of ERP software “It takes me minutes to generate MIS and financial reports with Sage which used to take me at least 3-4 days in all the earlier local accounting systems which I have used.
