HCC bags Rs 328.49cr Rajiv Sagar project

HCC (Hindustan Construction Company), India's leading construction and infrastructure development Company has bagged the prestigious Rs.328.49 crore Rajiv Sagar Lift Irrigation project from Irrigation and C.A.D. Department of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
 
 
The contract envisages design and construction of 75.83 kms water transmission system of canals and pipelines linking new and existing seven intermediate tanks. The intake pump house of this project is located near Pamulapally village of Aswapuram Mandal, about 145 kms from the district head quarter of Khammam in Andhra Pradesh. It has been envisaged to irrigate approximately 2 lakh acres. The project will be completed in 48 months and the agreement period will commence after completion of forest clearance, investigation, preparation and submission of designs which would take around 8 months.
 
 
HCC has recently bagged Rs.735.21crore irrigation tunnel work of the Pula Subbaiah Veligonda Project from the Irrigation and C.A.D in Andhra Pradesh. Besides, it is currently executing three major projects in Andhra Pradesh including Godavari Lift Irrigation "� Phase I in JV with KBL and Phase II in JV with NCC and a 30 km highway of NHAI on NH-7 under North-South Corridor on BOT basis.
 
 
HCC's relationship with Andhra Pradesh goes way back in 1930s when it constructed the first bridge over Godavari at Shahgarh. Since then it has built several infrastructure projects in Andhra Pradesh including Godavari Barrage at Rajahmundry, Papavinasam Dam, Vizag Monolith & West Wall Protection and Railway Bridge over Godavari which is the first and only bow-string bridge in India.
