HCL Infosystems appoints Harsh Chitale as Chief Executive Officer

>HCL Infosystems Ltd, India’s premier Hardware, Services and ICT System Integration Company today announced the appointment of Mr. Harsh Chitale as Chief Executive Officer for HCL Infosystems Ltd post the selection process undertaken by the Nominations Committee of the Board. Based in Noida, Harsh will take over the baton of CEO from Mr. Ajai Chowdhry who will continue to be the Chairman.

Today HCL Infosystems is a multi-billion dollar company and an IT powerhouse with extensive market reach, strong customer base, multi-domain capability with System Integration, Software services and Product offerings. HCL Infosystems over the past few years has also been expanding with the growing presence across emerging markets and strong skilled workforce of close to 7000 people.

Harsh Chitale brings a wealth of experience as a senior business leader with rich business management experience in both Indian and global companies. He has handled various large System Integration and Lifecycle services businesses. Harsh moves to HCL Infosystems from Honeywell Process Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Honeywell International Inc where he led the business for the North and South America region. Prior to which he was responsible for Strategy and Global Marketing for Honeywell Process Solutions. While at Honeywell, Harsh played a leading role in driving three strategic acquisitions of Honeywell Process Solutions in Europe and Canada.

Before moving to the US in 2006, Harsh was the MD and CEO Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (HAIL) (erstwhile TATA Honeywell Ltd.) where he was responsible for building the System Integration and Lifecycle Services business in India. Subsequently, he has also served as a Vice Chairman of the board of HAIL for a period of 2 years. Harsh is a recipient of Director’s Gold Medal at IIT Delhi, from where he completed his Electrical Engineering and thereafter started his career with TATAs in TATA Administration services (TAS).
