Hindustan Tin PBT up 37%, exports revenue soar to 50%

India’s largest can manufacturer producing a wide range of CANS and providing quality packaging solutions, Hindustan Tin Works Ltd, today reported its quarterly profit & revenue numbers with a 37 % jump in the net profit before tax  & 50% rise in its exports revenue for the quarter ended September 30th, 2010

While the company saw its net sales touching Rs 74.1 cr. for 2nd Quarter, as compared to Rs 58.4 cr. of the corresponding period last year, its exports revenues increased by 50 per cent to Rs 14.8 cr. as compared to Rs 9.9 cr. in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The Profit before Tax stood at Rs 3.87 cr. as compared to Rs 2.82 cr. in the corresponding quarter of the previous year thereby showing a 37% increase. Earnings per share stood at Rs 2.41 as showing an increase of 13%

The half yearly numbers ending 30th Sep 10 are also remarkable. Exports increased by 126% to Rs 33.3 cr. as compared to Rs 14.7 cr. of previous corresponding half yearly numbers. PBT stood at Rs 9.9 cr. as compared to Rs 8 cr. thereby showing an increase of 24%.

Earnings per share stood at Rs 6.57 as against Rs 5.92 of corresponding half year of the last year showing an increase of 11%.
