Deal expands availability of IHS environmental solutions throughout the region.
IHS Inc. (NYSE:IHS), a leading global source of critical information and insight, and ATME Group, a well-respected regional leader in providing software solutions and services and deploying process and business systems for the energy/oil and gas industry, today announced a new product and services distributor agreement giving ATME Group the right to sell and market IHS environmental products and services in 14 countries throughout the Middle East.
“Enabling businesses to implement more strategic environmental and sustainable development practices is key to their achieving success over the coming years,” said IHS Senior Vice President for EMEA, Gino Ussi. “Using our critical information and insight will assist with this complex process. Securing this agreement ensures access for Middle Eastern companies to an extensive range of critical environmental and sustainability management tools and total chemical management solutions.”
Environmental and sustainability issues are an increasingly critical concern for global business. As new regulations evolve and sustainable business practices become more important for internal and external stakeholders, the need for information solutions in this area is rapidly growing. Recognising the importance of these issues to business, IHS has developed a suite of solutions to manage environmental and sustainability information across the enterprise - from environmental reporting to emissions trading program management. IHS helps companies move from regulatory compliance to corporate sustainability with environmental solutions that are flexible enough to cover multiple local, regional and national regulatory and emissions trading programs, and multilingual to facilitate user adoption across the globe.
“This agreement is yet another strategic step which ATME Group has taken to bring more technology solutions and enhance the services we provide to our customers regionally,” said Edmond Chammas, ATME Group president & chief executive officer. “IHS HSE Solutions fit perfectly in our product offering to process industries. Not only are these products software-based, but they entail support services such as training, implementation and customer support help divisions located in the Middle East region.”
Chammas was pleased to add that “ATME Group looks forward to making this relationship a fruitful one for both our customers and the sectors we serve.”
ATME Group is based in Kuwait with offices throughout the Middle East. The company employs a team of highly qualified environment and chemical engineers and IT professionals with substantial experience in deploying process and business systems.
