IIFT: Giving wings to Entrepreneurs

The Entrepreneurship Cell at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in association with National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) successfully organized an 'Opportunity Evaluation Workshop – based on the 7 Domains Model of Dr. John Mullins' with a mission to create and support high-growth entrepreneurs as well as to drive job-creation and economic growth in India.

The workshop provided a platform for students to identify and evaluate different outlook towards their thought process benchmarking the thought, that one idea can be leveraged to build up a successful venture. However, there might be some minute flaws in the idea that ultimately leads to the downfall of the same. Hence, for all such concept generators, a workshop was organized where one can gain insights on how to evaluate the talent inside and capitalize in right way on individuals risk taking ability.

“Students get practical perspectives of the issues and the challenges that any entrepreneur face in real life and learn to tackle the threats that he/she may encounter in their journey towards becoming a successful entrepreneur” said Mr.K.T.Chacko, Director, IIFT.

The Discussion focused on – “High growth Start-ups in India - Opportunities and Challenges”. The panel experts included Ishita Swarup, Founder & CEO, 99 labels, Pooja Kothari, editor INC magazine; Rajiv Kumar, Founder & CEO, Rocketalk and Vikas Verma, Angel Investor and Founder of The Colour Factory. Their main attempt was to provide high level insights on concept generation and produce their individual viewpoints on high growth start-ups, varied opportunities & challenges.
