INDIAPACK 2008 to be held in Mumbai from 18th Sep-21st Sep 2008

18th – 21st September 2008 will witness the 3rd Edition of INDIAPACK, the most professionally run Packaging exhibition in India bringing a comprehensive range of products, equipment, services and technologies from across the world to meet the sourcing requirements of high value buyers. The event will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E) Mumbai, offering a wide choice to the buyers.

India has emerged as one of the major consumer markets in the Asian region. The Indian packaging industry is getting its due share in the consumer boom. It is estimated to be US$ 14 billion and is growing at 15% per annum. To meet the growing demand the industry peers are on look out for the latest products and technologies to develop state-of-the-art facilities.

INDIAPACK has served as an important platform for companies that provide an end to end solution to the packaging end users from pharmaceuticals, processed & fresh food industry, chemicals & confectionery, perfume & toiletries, cosmetics, toys, sports good and textile industry. The four day mega event is all set to take the packaging business in India to the next orbit of evolution. Comprehensive range of products, equipment, services and technologies from national and international players will be on display to meet the sourcing requirements of high value buyers.

This year the buyers will see products from some of the eminent exhibitors like Jindal Polyfilms, associated Capsules Group, Kris Flexipack, Pragati Pack, Hilda Automation, Paharpur 3P to name a few. 6 National groups from China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and United Kingdom will also mark their presence. The visitors will see packaging equipment on display with live demonstration.

A high level Packaging Conference combined with The National Awards for Packaging Excellence viz. INDIASTAR & PACMACHINE will be held concurrent with the exhibition.

The last edition of the exhibition saw 190 exhibitors from 24 countries. It was attended by 12468 trade visitors and 800 delegates from India and overseas. An estimated US$ 68 million worth of business was transacted during the exhibition.

INDIAPACK 2008 has received extensive official support from global apex packaging bodies (WPO & APF), Govt. of India, Ministries (Commerce & Industry, Food Processing Industries, Textiles, Small Scale Industries), Packaging & Allied Industries Associations from India & Overseas (FCBMA, AIFTMA, Plastindia Foundation, AIPIMA, GSPMA, AIGMF, AIPMA,TPC, WICMA, FPEWA, OPPI, Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging & Packaging Development Centre-Sri Lanka, KPMA-Korea, PPMA-UK) and a host of leading trade journals (AP, Beverage & Food World, Food & Pack, Oil & Food, PSP Asia, Paper Mart, Paper-in-PacK, Plastomart.Com, Packaging Plus, Print-N-Pack, Labels & Nerrowebtech, Labels India, Pharma World, Popular Plastics & Packaging, Packaging India, The Pharma Review, The Corrugator, The Indian Pharmacist. Govt. of Maharashtra has also been requested to support the event as the "Host State".
