Industrial Filters commissions India's first Technical felts unit

Industrial Filters & Fabrics (IFF), one of the leading manufacturers of filter products, today commissioned India’s first Technical Nonwoven unit in Indore. The inauguration of the manufacturing unit was attended by senior representatives from various industries. The unit has an installed capacity of 100,000 liner meters.

Technical non-woven felts are used as filter intermediary; Fabric used to separate dust particulates from dusty gases. They are one of the most efficient and cost effective types of dust collectors available and can achieve a collection efficiency of more than 99% for very fine particulates emitted by various industries cement, steel, aluminum, carbon black, chemical, power generation & fertilizer.

Keeping in line with the overall expansion strategy and in order to meet the growing demands of filter product, IFF indigenously manufactured India’s first Nonwoven Felts. This manufacturing unit replaces the need to import technical nonwoven felts and strengthens the company’s backward integration chain by producing world class products in India.

IFF’s investment will further deepen its foothold in the territory and act as a catalyst in expanding the market in India. The importance of the Indian market is also reflected through IFF’s rapidly growing engineering capability in Indore. IFF’s comprehensive filtrating solutions will position them to meet the growing needs of various sectors and make India self reliant.
