Wunderman India has walked away with a Gold as well as Silver award at the recently concluded Davey Awards in New York. The Gold was won in the promotions and the Silver in the B2B category, for their ‘Biplane’ campaign executed for Accenture India.
Satish Sathyanarayana, CEO, Wunderman India, “This award is a reaffirmation in our belief that an encouraging client and an able and enthusiastic agency team can produce impactful communication and conversations for the brand”.
Ajay Sood, Sr. VP & Branch Head, Wunderman Bangalore, “All this while we focussed on bringing in our expertise and add value to our client’s business. The Davey was the first attempt made at winning awards. The time was ripe to get recognised for our good work. This is another feather in our team’s cap, which is already being acknowledged as among the best in the country.”
The brief received for the campaign was to design a communication piece that would engage delegates of NASSCOM’s HR Summit and deliver on Accenture’s ‘Innovation in everything we do’ promise.
A biplane model made out of waste materials like discarded auto spark plug, ice cream sticks, nut-bolts etc was given away to delegates. The communication encouraged recipients to participate in the ‘Spark you Imagination’ contest at the Accenture stall. The core message was ‘when you look beyond the obvious and innovate, the results can be amazing’.
The campaign results outnumbered expectations by 200%, and Accenture India has identified the biplane as a ‘brand piece’ as well as entering it for their global audit.
The Davey Awards are among the largest and most prestigious awards competition sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
