Organized Orientation Program for the PGDM students (2011-2013)

New Delhi, July 1, 2011: Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), an institute of excellence in the field of management studies and IT education, commenced its new academic session by organizing Orientation Program for the PGDM students (2011-2013) at its Rohini campus. The Class comprises of 300 students, representing diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

The Orientation Program event started on an honorable note by paying tribute to Late Shri Jagan Nath Gupta followed by a welcome address by Prof. R.P. Maheshwari, Director General (Hon)-JIMS. He conveyed that a new life in this globalized world with competition all round, one would have to seek to progress with a genuine mind set, goal, targets and a desire to work hard.

Welcoming the new batch of students with his sheer eloquence Mr. J.K. Goyal, Director, JIMS said, “We at JIMS believe in providing holistic and world class education. Our Management courses have been designed to sharpen decision- making skills and their scope is vast with plenty opportunities in industry. We warmly welcome our fresh batch of students and expect them to imbibe the JIMS values and emerge as global leaders.”

The parents attending the event were heralded as one of the most important shareholders in this education process and their presence was acknowledged with great respect.

Post Director’s address to the audience, the students got a chance to interact with the faculty members who shared their vast experience in the field of education. This interaction gave the students a clear idea of the current industrial norms and expectations. The JIMS faculties also shared with them tips on becoming effective managers, global leaders and entrepreneurs of the future.
