Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has been accorded the 2008 Best of Jersey City Award in the Airline Companies category, by the Washington based, U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).
In a communication dated December 02, 2008, the USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Programme will handover a specially designed 2008 Best of Jersey City Award plaque to Jet Airways in recognition of its efforts in achieving exceptional marketing success in the local community and business category.
Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that have made a mark by offering top quality service to their customers and community. Jet Airways is known for its hallmark services not only in India, but also in the international markets that the airline services. Recognition in the local community in the United States for a premier Indian brand, is indeed a matter of great pride.
Amongst other notable international accolades conferred on the airline recently, Jet Airways was voted one of the top three airlines in the world by the Conde Nast Traveller readers’ poll in New York, in October 2008; honoured with the ‘Best Domestic Airline’ award for the fifth consecutive year and the sixth time in the last seven years at the prestigious TTG Travel Awards 2008 in Bangkok, also in October 2008; voted one of the top 10 Airlines in the world at the Best in Travel Poll 2008, organised by Hong Kong based SmartTravelAsia.com in September 2008; as well as the best airline in Central/South Asia & India in an annual Global Traveler magazine survey at an award ceremony in New York in January 2008; and was recognised for excellence and quality of its service and in-flight experience in the ‘Airline of the Year Category’ of the “Which?” Best Airline consumer survey held in London in June 2008, where Jet Airways emerged as the runner-up; while JetPrivilege, Jet Airways' frequent-flyer programme, won the coveted
