Jet introduces web check-in facility on select global routes

Jet Airways' passengers will need to report at the check-in area for document verification and to check-in their baggage, not later than 75 minutes prior to the departure of their respective flights.

Jet Airways' First Class, Premiere passengers as well as JetPrivilege Platinum and Gold members may avail of this facility up to 48 hours prior to the departure of their flights. JetPrivilege Silver and Blue Plus members may web check-in 24 hours prior to their departure. From 12 hours till departure, all remaining passengers may use this facility.

Commenting on the web check-in facility, Mr. Gaurang Shetty, Senior Vice-President- Alliances and Interline, Jet Airways, said, "The introduction of Jet Airways' Electronic Web Check-in facility on International routes, besides enhancing passenger convenience by doing away with the need for a manual check-in, will also enable the airline to boost efficiency in terms of volumes of passengers processed at the relevant airport terminals. This innovation is a fine example of the company's relentless drive to excel in terms of both customer service as well as operational efficiencies."

Jet Airways introduced Web Check-in on its domestic routes on 10 October, 2005 and on its international routes, the airline introduced this facility on its flights to Singapore on April 21, 2008, followed by the other routes on May 14, 2008. Jet Airways' plans to progressively introduce Web Check-in facilities on its North American and other international routes.

JetLite currently operates a fleet of 24 aircraft, which includes 17 Boeing 737 series and 7 Canadian Regional Jets 200 Series. JetLite operates 141 flights every day to 30 domestic destinations and 2 international destinations (Kathmandu and Colombo)
