Jet voted India's best at TTG Travel Asia

Mumbai, October 13, 2006: Jet Airways, India's premiere airline, has bagged yet another prestigious award for the third consecutive year and fourth time in the past five years by being voted India's best airline at the 17th Annual Travel Awards 2006 function of TTG Travel Asia (Travel Trade Gazette) at Pattaya, Thailand on October 12, 2006.
 
This is the fifth award in different international and national categories that Jet Airways has been conferred with in the last two months. The airline was voted India's leading airline at the World Travel Awards and won two Avion Awards for its in-flight entertainment last month.
 
The annual TTG Travel Asia Awards honours Asia-Pacific's most outstanding organizations in the travel industry for their achievements and contribution in shaping the region's travel and tourism into what it is today. Held for the 17th time, this year's awards ceremony was held with much pomp and grandeur at a glittering function on October 12, 2006 at Pattaya, Thailand. Mr. Gaurang Shetty, Vice President - Marketing received the Award on behalf of Jet Airways.
 
The award, based on a survey amongst the readers of TTG Asia and voting by peers in the travel & tourism industry, honours the most distinguished travel organizations amongst 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region, including China.
 
The criteria considered while judging the airline were ability to provide the best service, network & schedules, agent-friendliness in terms of reservations, confirmations and commission payment, professionalism of the sales and marketing team in terms of innovative ideas, incentive programmes and servicing.
 
Commenting on winning this award, Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways, said, "We are proud to receive this prestigious industry accolade for the fourth time in five years. It is our dedicated commitment in providing the highest levels of service, both on ground and in-flight and perseverance for setting benchmarks of customer service in the Indian aviation industry that has repeatedly earned us the TTG Travel Asia Award and is thereby a vindication of sorts for our corporate philosophy."
