KPIT Cummins in top 25 for corporate governance

Has been chosen as one of the top 25 Indian companies adopting best Corporate Governance practices for year 2006 by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India New Delhi, February 14, 2007: KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global IT consulting organization focused on the Automotive & Semiconductor sectors, has been selected among the top 25 Indian companies by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in Corporate Governance for the year 2006.

To identify, foster and reward the culture of evolving globally acceptable standards of Corporate Governance among Indian companies the ICSI confer annually "ICSI National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance" on the companies, which are following best Corporate Governance practices.

The ICSI has always been proactively engaged in catalyzing the corporate governance culture in India. To fulfill the twin objectives of creating wide spread consciousness towards corporate governance among the Indian corporate citizens and to reward excellence in the practice of good governance; the ICSI instituted the "ICSI National Award for Excellence In Corporate Governance" in the year 2001.

The winners were selected by a jury headed by the former Chief Justice of India, Mr V.N. Khare. Around 200 companies participated for the award.
