LIC Cards Services Limited has launched Card Protection Plan for its credit card customers in partnership with CPP Assistance Services Pvt. Ltd (CPP). CPP Card Protection is India’s first comprehensive card protection service. LIC credit card customers can now block all their lost or stolen cards on a single call to CPP’s 24-hour helpline from anywhere in the world.

Card Protection Plan is unique because customers have the benefit of calling CPP’s helpline from anywhere in the world and report their cards as lost. This one call will ensure CPP notifies all cards as lost, without the customer having to call individual issuers.

Card Protection membership safeguards all of the LIC cardholder's payment cards - credit, debit and ATM cards. Members also have the facility to register non-financial cards such as Store cards, loyalty and membership cards. These valuable details including for documents such as their Passport, PAN, Driving Licence etc. will be held safe by CPP for retrieval and reminder services as and when a customer may require them.

Additionally, the Card Protection member is provided worldwide cover on fraudulent usage of their lost or stolen cards. This cover starts from 7 days before they report card loss and stretches to any period after the loss is reported to CPP.

Further, while travelling in India or abroad and the member’s cards go missing and CPP is notified by the customer on discovery of card loss, CPP will facilitate through its authorized dealer Emergency Travel & Hotel Assistance, so that the customer’s worries are put at ease and he/she returns home safe. The Emergency Travel & Hotel Assistance advanced to the cardholder is repayable within 28 days.

LIC Cardholders have options to choose between two, the Premium and Classic Plan. They can also protect another member of their family by opting for a Joint membership on any of these plans. LIC Cardholders can soon enrol themselves for CPP Card Protection membership by calling a dedicated number.

Announcing CPP Card Protection Cover, Mr. Hemant Bhargava, CEO & Director, LIC Cards Services Limited said, “LIC Cardholders can now travel anywhere in the world with complete peace of mind by opting for Card Protection membership."
