M&M automotive sales zoom 52.2%

MUMBAI, JULY 02 '07: Mahindra & Mahindra, a part of the $4.5 billion Mahindra Group, consolidated its leadership in the automotive segment substantially in June with total vehicle sales of 17816, a growth of 52.2% over the corresponding month last year.

Mahindra Renault sold 2389 units of India's first wide body car, Logan, in the month of June.

Domestic sales

M&M clocked total vehicles sales of 16814 units in the domestic market as against 11178 in the corresponding month last fiscal, a growth of over 50%.

Exports

The company's automotive sector clocked sales of 1002 vehicles in June an 89% jump as opposed to 531 units in the corresponding period last fiscal.
