Maersk Line named 'Best Performer' in Shipping Line Category

20 January 2010: Maersk Line was awarded the “Best Performer” in Shipping Line Category for the year 2009 for its outstanding contribution and performance in the Nagpur region.

CONCOR gave away Awards to the highest performers of the EXIM Trade and the leading Shipping Lines. Maersk Line received three awards at the hands of Shri Yash Vardhan, Director of Concor, for handling the highest volumes at Aurangabad ICD Depot, Nagpur ICD Depot and Bhusaval ICD Depot.

Mr. Thomas Vallappady Mathew, Assistant General Manager, Operations, accepted the award on behalf of Maersk Line.

On the occasion, said Mr. Mathew, “Our Aurangabad, Nagpur and Bhusaval regions have contributed incremental growth in volumes in 2009 to the CONCOR Nagpur region. This award is a true reflection of the hard work and commitment that our team has put in over the past year.”

The Award function organized by CONCOR Nagpur, on the occasion of its 13th Anniversary, was held at Royal Court, Hotel Tuli International, Nagpur on Jan 7, 2010.

The event witnessed key delegates from the leading Shipping Lines and EXIM Trade. The Chief Guest on the occasion included Shri R. K. Jain, Chief Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise, Nagpur and Shri Yash Vardhan, Director (International Marketing and Operations), CONCOR.
