MCHI Property 2010 exhibition gets overwhelming response

  • Over 73,000 people visit MCHI property 2010 exhibition
  • MCHI members sold out 150 flats during the Exhibition
  • Housing Finance Institutions (HFIs) receive high number of loan enquiries

Over 73,000 home aspirants visited the recently held Property 2010 exhibition, organized by Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry, registering an handsome rise of 12,952 visitors over 60,496 visitors turned out during Property 2009 exhibition held in October last year. The MCHI members showcasing their properties also sold a total of 150 flats during the four day exhibition held at the MMRDA grounds at BKC during April 8-11, 2010.

As many as 73,448 visitors or 18,362 families visited the Property 2010 exhibition, a four-day mega property show as against 60,496 home aspirants or 15,223 families visited the Property 2009 exhibition held during October 1st to 4th, 2009.

Buoyed by the recovery in the country’s economy, the real estate sector has witnessed a growing demand for housing properties; Property 2010 exhibition played a very important role to guide home seekers in the right direction. The MCHI has been organizing the mega housing exhibitions in order to offer best of the opportunities to the potential buyers. MCHI’s credentials are enhanced further with continuous encouraging response from the potential buyers this year as well.

Commenting on the success of the exhibition, Mr. Pravin Doshi, President MCHI said “With the success of the exhibition it is now confirmed that there is a huge demand in the property market and buyers are looking for best available properties with the world-class amenities.”

Mr. Deepak Goradia, Co-convenor, MCHI Exhibitions said, “We feel encouraged with the massive response from the home buyers to our exhibition and large scale inquiries were from the genuine buyers at several stalls which is really the good sign for the real estate sector”.

Mr. Harish Patel, Convenor Exhibition, MCHI said, “Achieving actual sales was an exceptional achievement by our mega property show as we are generally trying to make an attempt to showcase all the properties so that the buyers can conclude his decision even in next few days. We believe that the buyers have felt it was the right time to buy the property”.

“As many as 75+ Developers have showcased around 524 Projects and over 17,600 apartments ranging from Rs. 10 Lacs to Rs. 10 Crores displayed at the exhibition,” added Mr. Zubin Mehta CEO of MCHI.

Prominent & leading Mumbai developers like Ackruti City Ltd. , Dheeraj Group, Housing Development & Infrastructure Ltd., Kalpataru Ltd., Kohinoor Planet Constructions Pvt. Ltd, Rustomjee, Nirmal Lifestyle and many more all members of MCHI had displayed their properties across the Island City, Western & Central Suburbs, Thane, Navi Mumbai & rest of India under one roof.

Around 15 + leading HFI’s & Banks such as State Bank of India, HDFC Ltd, ICICI Home Finance Co. Ltd., Standard Chartered Bank, IDBI Bank ltd., Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd. (DHFL), and other Banks had participated in the mega property show to offer Home Loans at their best rates.

Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) Shri. S. S. Kshatriya had inaugurated the mega property show at the MMRDA grounds BKC on Thursday, April 8, 2010, in the presence of State Bank of India Chief General Manager Shri. Shyamal Acharya, and key MCHI members.

The Property 2010 had witnessed prominent visitors such as Former Maharashtra Minister Mr.Nawab Malik, Addl. Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA Shri. S V R Srinivas, Mumbai Police Commissioner D. Sivanandan, Additional Commissioner of Police Mr.Naval Bajaj, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Brijesh Singh.

PROPERTY 2010 had witnessed Prominent Bankers visiting the Exhibition, such as Mr. Rajiv Sabharwal, Senior General Manager, ICICI Bank Ltd., Shri Shyam Srinivasan Country Head, Consumer Banking India, Shri S K Krishnan Consumer Banking Head Sales, Standard Chartered Bank and Smt. Sanjukta Raiguru, Dy. General Manager, Personal Banking Business Head – I, State Bank of India.

Property 2010, 16th Real Estate & Housing Finance Exhibition, also had stall participants from the Government bodies like Mumbai Police, Traffic Police and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), wherein many people visited the stalls and also received good information.
