NDTV launches India's first lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times

NDTV enters the lifestyle genre with Good Times in collaboration with the Kingfisher brand

NDTV today announced the launch of a lifestyle channel 'NDTV Good Times'. The channel will target a largely cosmopolitan, socially upbeat audience who lives in style and enjoys every moment of life. Among the various shows offered by this channel, there is a wide range of aspirational lifestyle programming on health, fashion, food, travel, luxury and more. A free-to-air channel, NDTV Good Times will be available to viewers across India starting September 7.
 
 
NDTV has come together with the Kingfisher Brand in a first-of-its-kind media alliance for the promotion of NDTV Good Times. The launch was addressed by Dr Prannoy Roy, Chairman, NDTV Ltd. and Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman, The UB Group. Also present were Smeeta Chakrabarti, CEO, NDTV Lifestyle, Narayan Rao, Group CEO, NDTV and Vikram Chandra, CEO, NDTV Networks.
 
 
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Prannoy Roy, Chairman, NDTV Ltd., said, "NDTV is proud to pioneer yet another step in Indian television history. Our new offering, NDTV Good Times, will leverage the NDTV Group's proven programming and broadcasting skills in partnership with the admirable lifestyle appeal of the Kingfisher brand. The programming will be presented with style, wit and intelligence by hosts who are experts in their field - well known personalities like Rajat Kapoor of 'Monsoon Wedding' fame, Manju Malhi, said to be Britain's next Madhur Jaffrey, Tech Guru Rajiv Makhni and Cocktail Queen Shatbhi Basu, among others. Also NDTV's own Arun Thapar of 'Chuppa Rustam' fame and spa queen Devika Anand. The shows will cover every aspect of the lifestyle genre to portray the essence of an increasingly global India.
