Guests at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong today got a true taste of the life of a celebrity as the unveiling of Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman's wax likeness mimicked a gala red carpet event, complete with hounding photographers and reporters.
Hong Kong super model and now fledgling actress Lynn Xiong took to the stage for Ms Kidman's big reveal, first revealing details of some of her own real red carpet experiences.
Ms Xiong, who has long been a paparazzi favourite due to her renowned red-carpet style didn't disappoint the waiting photographers today, wearing an Oscar worthy dress that earned her Madame Tussauds Hong Kong's award for 'Most Glamorous Red Carpet Arrival' at the attraction's first ever red carpet function.
Nicole Kidman's wax figure was equally resplendent. Her stunning 5'11” frame shows her as she is best known: tall, slender and angelically beautiful, styled to perfection for a black tie 'do'.
General manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and Shanghai, Bret Pidgeon said: “Today was a Hollywood affair the people of Hong Kong could be proud of. To have two such seasoned red carpet celebrities represented - one from the west and one from the east - was such a thrill. Nicole Kidman will go down in history as one of the all-time most glamorous silver-screen sirens, and it is an absolute honour to have her here in our presence.”
Like today, guests to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong will also have the opportunity to participate in a simulated celebrity-studded event, with an interactive display that triggers a television screen showing the guests dazzling on the red carpet. Another installation features a microphone representing media for guests to have fun pretending they are roving reporters.

Australia's Oscar winning beauty has a clutch of box office smashes to her name. Nicole is now one of the highest paid in movie history, has a star on the Walk of Fame and is a UNIFEM and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
