Company to donate fund to NGOs to stop Civil Evil
In line with its philosophy to save earth and to make the world a better place, Orient Ceramics and Industries Limited starts yet another CSR activity through its social networking site. The company plans to donate money to NGOs who are working in the area of checking and eliminating civil crimes. Orient Ceramics, on its Facebook social networking page “We Cover Up Beautifully” has added a new application “Kill Civil Evil”. The game deals with civil crimes prevailing in the society. Users are asked to choose a civil evil which they want to eradicate and with each evil chosen and killed, Rs 5/- is donated to a particular NGO working against that particular crime. This is one of its kind initiatives taken by a company manufacturing ceramic tiles. Orient Ceramics is the largest manufacturer of Non-Vitrified, Vitrified, Ultra Vitrified and 3rd Fired Decorative Tiles for walls, floors & facades in terms of installed capacity. Orient Ceramics has also added three more games to its page www.facebook/wecoverupbeautifully to make it more interactive and participative. ‘Scam Sweep’ and ‘Spot the Scamster’ are class in themselves; these games give detailed information about the scam masters and ask users to locate them amongst the crowd.

Striding forward, we have now added one more page in our CSR credentials by launching “Kill Civil Evil” campaign on our Facebook page “We Cover Up Beautifully”. India is a young country and we wanted a strong participation from the younger generation to eradicate as many social evils as we can. Social networking sites are an apt media to connect with younger audience due to their acceptance among them.”
Mr. Sharma further added, “The basic concept behind this campaign is to create awareness among the future generation of our country about these social evils and how they are weakening our system day by day. Also, there are sections in our society who is willing to kill these evils but are not equipped enough to do so. This campaign of ours will give them an opportunity to participate and contribute towards cleaning of our society. With every civil evil killed online, we shall contribute Rs 5/- to the NGO who is working in that area. We hope to receive tremendous response from young India and hope to contribute as much as we can towards making the world a better place.”
