Pavan Sukhdev is Deutsche Bank's India Head of Global Markets

Mumbai, August 25, 2006 "� Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Pavan Sukhdev as Head of Global Markets India effective immediately. He will be responsible for Deutsche Bank's onshore sales and trading businesses, and for providing a wide range of global markets product and service functions through local vendors and through Deutsche Bank's Global Markets Centre, Mumbai, which he will Chair.
 
Announcing his appointment today Loh Boon Chye, Head of Global Markets Asia at Deutsche Bank, said Pavan's deep local experience and broad global markets expertise positions him well to lead one of Global Market's key strategic locations.
 
"India holds a strategic place in Deutsche Bank Global Markets, being one of the world's two largest emerging economies, as well as being an important hub for the Bank's Global Markets front and back office support operations."
 
"Pavan has been deeply involved in the evolution of India's financial markets and that experience bodes well in ensuring that Deutsche Bank remains a leader in this area in India and indeed regionally."
 
Over the past two years, Pavan has been instrumental in developing hub service strategies for Global Markets based out of London. Prior to that, he was the COO for Deutsche Bank's Emerging Markets division. Pavan moved to London from Singapore in 2003, after spending four years building the money markets trading team as well as the Bank's liquidity management for Asia and then Asia-Pacific.
 
Gunit Chadha, Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank India, says an appointment of Pavan's calibre underlines the Bank's commitment to further developing the India franchise. "Pavan's move from London to Mumbai further strengthens our management team on the ground in India. His appointment will ensure we continue to evolve, integrate and develop India's onshore global markets businesses to lead across all our client sectors and product classes."
