Textile design students display their talent at the annual graduating show
“Thread Works” an exhibition of Textile Design final year students’ projects, is being organized on 24 & 25 May 2011 by Pearl Academy of Fashion at The Stainless Gallery. The exhibition, assures to offer a glimpse of the myriad of creative talent and student’s individualistic design philosophy. The exhibition will showcase the work of the graduating cohort 2007-11 of BA (Hons.) Textile Design programme. Mr Sumeet, CEO, Raj Overseas, Mr. Anchal Jain, founder of NUN, and Mr. Rakesh Agarwal, Designer have kindly consented to grace the occasion as the chief guests.
The exhibition is based on various themes which are represented by the students of textile design department through their works. 26 graduating students are showcasing their works in the form of Apparel, home furnishings, floor coverings, accessories, pet’s collection etc.
The themes which include, “Brahmand”, “Time Machine”, “the Virtual World” and “Marrakesh” and many more, portray rustic and primitive forms of life, combination of ancient and primitive times, technology, and mysticism of the desert respectively.
