University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) holds seminar for parents.
On Saturday 25 April, Ian Chambers, CIE’s Regional Manager, South Asia, hosted a seminar at Podar International School in Nerul, Mumbai to give parents an overview of the Cambridge International Curriculum. The school is introducing Cambridge programmes this year, following the lead of Podar International School in Santa Cruz which already offers a successful Cambridge programme.
Ian Chambers said that the aim of the seminar is to ensure that parents are familiar with the Cambridge approach.
He said: ‘The seminar will give parents an opportunity to ask questions about Cambridge qualifications, and I will talk through the various CIE modules and the student-centred approach to learning. The Santa Cruz branch of Podar International School is already an excellent partner for Cambridge, and I look forward to supporting the teachers and students at the Nerul branch.’
Dr. Mrs. Vandana Lulla, Director of Podar International School, Santa Cruz said she was pleased with the impact that the Cambridge programme has had on her students’ development. She said: ‘I chose to bring the Cambridge International Curriculum to my students because, as a school, we wanted to give our students a global platform and holistic development. The students have truly enriched themselves as “global learners”.’
The number of schools in India registering with CIE to offer the Cambridge International Curriculum is increasing, with more than 20 new registrations in recent months. CIE is India’s largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 year olds, and the qualifications are recognised worldwide.
