Kimberly-Clark Inc. has appointed Mr. Prakash Iyer as the Managing Director of Kimberly Clark Lever Pvt. Ltd. Prakash takes over from Mr. Rajeev Mohan who is retiring from the company after a stint of over 30 years stretched across USA & India in multiple functions & roles. Prakash’s last stint was with the Future group where he was the CEO responsible for the loyalty business.
Mr. Iyer, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, has over 23 years of experience in leadership roles across sectors. Earlier he was the Executive Director at PepsiCo, looking after the company’s operations in South India and Sri Lanka. He later moved to PepsiCo China as Regional Vice President. Until recently he was with Info media India Limited (formerly Tata Info media) as the Managing Director and CEO.
Mr. Iyer will be based out of Pune. In Kimberly-Clark he will be responsible for growing the business and the category in India – one of the priority markets, as part of BRIC countries for Kimberly Clark Inc. He will also be a part of the regional leadership team of South Asian Developing & Emerging Countries comprising India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia.
Prakash started his career as a Management Trainee with Hindustan Lever (now Hindustan Unilever) and is glad to be back to the Lever group. Prakash says, “I am looking forward to my new innings with Kimberly-Clark. We are already a leading player in the market and I hope to take our brands Huggies and Kotex to greater heights by tapping unexplored segments of the hygiene market and creating a stronger connects with Indian consumers.”
