Sharman Joshi and Vatsal Seth relived their childhood memories of story telling

After capturing the hearts of millions of listeners across 20 cities, Radio City 91.1 FM, has unveiled its first Audio Book - ‘City of Tales’. An innovative property with story telling for kids was unveiled by Ms. Apurva Purohit, CEO, Radio City along with Actors, Sharman Joshi and Vatsal Seth.

It was a journey down memory lane for both Sharman and Vatsal as they joined the kids in a story telling session with the voice over artists of ‘City of Tales’.

India today is witness to a growing number of nuclear families. With parents pressed for time, the art of telling bed time stories is dying. ‘City Of Tales’ seeks to fill this gap with wondrous tales about India’s fables , its glorious past and through the art of storytelling helps children imbibe moral values which they earlier learnt through the stories their grandparents told them . Also, the audio format of these books allows for ‘anytime listening’ - on the go or at home.

The first two releases of ‘City of Tales’ are Folk Tales and Animal Wisdom. Each title comprises of 5 stories and each story is about 8-10 minutes. The titles are available in Hindi and English. Interesting factoids help children improve vocabulary and general knowledge. The activity books available additionally will provide children with engaging and intelligent activities to help develop their minds.

‘City Of Tales’ is available in an attractive box containing an audio CD with the stories, activity books based on the stories and colour sketch pens making it an ideal gifting option.

At the launch, actor Sharman Joshi said, “I have a 4 year old daughter to whom I tell bedtime stories every night. Now with ‘City of Tales’ I can relax and enjoy the stories with her while she falls off to sleep. No parent including me would want their children glued to the television the whole day and this is definitely the best solution to have them engaged and entertained at the same time. To this actor, Vatsal Seth added, “I have many cousins who would definitely enjoy this Audio Book.
