SBI wins 'Most Preferred Bank' award

Mumbai, August 1, 2006: State Bank of India (SBI), India's largest bank, has won the Most Preferred Bank award at the Awaaz Consumer Awards '06.

The Awaaz Consumer Awards '06 was initiated by Awaaz, a part of the TV18 Network, in association with AC Nielsen "� ORG Marg, to find India's most preferred brands. SBI has also bagged the Most Preferred Housing Loan Provider award in that category.

The study for the awards covered 40 product categories across 21 cities, with more than 10,000 registered respondents. The aim of the awards was to decipher the most important loyalty criteria for consumers in each vertical. Winners were determined by vote of consumers.
