SCHWING Stetter India Achieves Six Sigma Compliance

SCHWING Stetter India Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of SCHWING Stetter Gmbh, Germany, and a leading player in Indian construction equipment industry, has received Six Sigma compliance certification, for all its key business processes, from M/s. Nathan and Nathan Consultants Pvt. Ltd.,  a Bangalore-based consultancy. The company started the process of implementing Six Sigma initiatives in the year 2005.  

Commenting on the development, Mr. Anand Sundaresan, Managing Director, SCHWING Stetter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “This is a very proud moment for us. SCHWING Stetter India identified the deliverables covering all business processes and firmed up on the CTQ (Critical-to-Quality) parameter in all their deliverables. Various statistical tools and techniques related to break-through improvement and lean practices were deployed to achieve the Six Sigma status.

Six Sigma is a quality improvement methodology structured to reduce product or service failure rates to a negligible level. The Six Sigma process encompasses all aspects of a business, including management, service delivery, design, production and customer satisfaction. Six Sigma drives business culture and requires a nearly flawless execution of key processes, thereby making the certification a high standard for companies and individuals to achieve. Customers place a high value on predictably consistent business processes and Six Sigma is a proven methodology for delivering consistent incremental improvement. Six Sigma has three belts Yellow, Green and Black Belt, which is the highest ranking.
