Sharda University organizes Medical Education Programme on Tuberculosis

The program emphasis on the controlling of Tuberculosis in India with proper guidelines from RNTCP (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme)

Sharda University, India’s Largest Educational Group, today organized Continue Medical Education Programme on Tuberculosis at Sharda School of Medical Science premises to address the causes, symptoms, prevention and cure for TB and emphasis on its controlling in India through RNTCP (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme).

The day long workshop was partaken by CMO (Chief Medical Officer), Guest faculty, Students pursuing hospital administration and nursing course. The objective to create awareness about TB treatment,  interact, share ideas, review their performance and analyses research findings on the disease burden of the country as well as the actual situation in terms of the delivery of health care services nationwide.

Speaking on the topic, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman SGI Group and Chancellor Sharda University, said,, There is an urge for the involvement of all sectors -public and private for the mobilization of the available resources for TB and we at Sharda apart from education also focusing on health care sector. It is with this effect that we take such initiatives to create awareness among the society through our best medical facilities and highly qualified doctors”.                 

Specifying the current programs on TB, Dr. J.N. Banavaliker, Chairman of TBAI & Medical Superintendent of Rajan Babu TB Hospital added, “Tuberculosis is often thought to be hereditary but it is actually not. It is a disease that is transmitted from person to person through the air by bacteria during inhalation. TB is not as infectious as we perceive it, provided we all join hands together to completely eradicate it.

The complete focus was on RNTCP treatment regimen, diagnosis of diseases like TB through its revised policies, which helped in creating attentiveness among the participants providing them with proper guidelines for the cure of TB in India
