Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd is pleased to announce that it has commissioned its new sugar refinery on the West coast of India near the port of Kandla on July 25, 2011. The rated capacity of the sugar refinery is 3,000 tonne per day (1 million MT per year) of raw sugar refining and 45 MW of co-generation capacity.
This new sugar refinery at Kandla will take the port-based refining capacity of the company to 5,000 tonne per day (or 1.7 million tonne per year). The company already operates another 2,000 tonne per day sugar refinery on the East Coast of India near the port of Haldia.
