SpiceJet, India's ‘best low cost airline’*, today announces its new schedule for summer of 09, effective March 29, 2009. The daily departures will go up from 115 to 119 for a fleet strength of 19 aircrafts. The schedule offers new connections, better connectivity and resumes services. Tickets can be booked through www.spicejet.com or through SpiceJet Reservation over 1800 180 3333 / 0987 180 3333 or through the Travel Agents.
Ahmedabad, will now be directly connected to the Garden city of Bangalore by a daily round trip. This is in addition to the existing connection to Bangalore (via Mumbai). These flights will help the business travelers in the two cities. Ahmedabad also gets a very convenient evening flight (departure at 18.35) to Mumbai and onwards to Chennai. This additional connection to Chennai now allows a second option for travelers between Ahmedabad and Chennai.
Pune in Maharashtra will now be connected to Kolkata, capital of West Bengal with a daily return ex – Pune (via Delhi). The busy city of Mumbai has been now directly connected to the southern city of Coimbatore by a daily return flight. Delhi now has a convenient morning departure to Pune at 08:40.
Announcing the new schedule in the capital today, Samyukth Sridharan, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet Limited, said, “Our focus has remained on providing convenient timings and improved connectivity for our passengers. We have introduced some connections, basis direct customer feedback. For example passengers travelling on our Mumbai – Ahmedabad flight have always requested for a convenient evening connection back to Mumbai. We have incorporated this in this summer schedule. We are confident that our new schedule will help the growing number of business traffic and corporate travel in our network”.
Speaking on increase in market share for SpiceJet, he said “Our On Time Performance remains around 88% and with a Technical Dispatch Reliability of around 99.6%, we are the airline with the least cancellations. These factors go a way to encourage people to fly us for both business and leisure travel. Our market share has shown a continuous rise over the last few months.
