The Kochi-based Sree Sakhti Paper Mills Limited, engaged in the manufacture of Kraft paper has recorded a big jump of 26 per cent in net sales income and 37 per cent net profit after tax for third quarter of current fiscal ended December 31, 2010. The net sales income totaled Rs 44.25 crores during October-December 2010 compared to Rs 34.93 crores in the same quarter in the previous year. The mill clocked a production of 56600 tonnes in Q3 compared to 53156 during Q3 of 2009.
For nine months of the current fiscal the company earned a net sales income of Rs 131.7 crores, a 29% jump over Rs 102.2 crores in the same period last year. With reduced interest burden, the company’s net profit after tax at Rs 5.01 crores for April-December 2010 is a 49% increase over Rs 3.36 crores in the comparable period in 2009.
